Biography

Judy DeCorte, F.N.P.-B.C., M.S.N., is a certified family nurse practitioner with MyMichigan Health’s Spine and Pain Program. As part of this comprehensive program, Judy works collaboratively with other members of this specialized team to provide balanced pain management care to diagnose and treat conditions such as neck and back pain, including work-related injuries and sciatica; persistent pain after back or neck surgery; arthritis pain in spine and joints; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS); nerve damage; muscle spasm pain; shingles pain and headaches.

“I have always known I wanted to help people,” said Judy. “I strive to help people improve the quality of their life and improve their overall functionality. Specializing in pain management was an easy choice for me.”

Philosophy of Care

Judy works hard to create relationships with her patients based on open communication. “I want to create a trusting environment where we can work together to reduce their pain and improve their functionality,” she added. “The thing I enjoy most about my job is seeing my patients make improvements so that they can enjoy life again.”

Special Interests

Judy specializes in managing and treating chronic pain using minimally invasive interventional procedures and medication management when appropriate. Her personal pastimes include scrapbooking, traveling, reading, raising farm animals, and spending time with her family. Judy and her fiancé, Michael, have three adult children, three teenagers and one granddaughter.
