Alma Volunteers to Hold 5th Annual Golden Ticket Raffle

MyMichigan Medical Center Alma will hold its 5th Annual Golden Ticket Raffle with tickets available for purchase now through Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024. The event, organized by Medical Center volunteers and sponsored by the MyMichigan Health Foundation, is a unique opportunity to raise funds for patients in need while engaging with the community in a fun and creative way. Each ticket costs $10 and is available from Medical Center Alma volunteers or the Medical Center’s Highlanders Boutique Gift Shop.

Volunteers are the backbone of any community. Anna Parker-McDonald, manager of volunteer services, Medical Centers Alma and Mt. Pleasant, recognizes the immense impact of the volunteers’ work in supporting patients and their families. “Their selflessness and dedication to service are genuinely inspiring and heartwarming,” Parker-McDonald said. “Their dedication to supporting patients and their families, in addition to all the service hours they provide, is heartwarming.”

Continuing its mission to raise vital funds for patient care, the raffle will increase its offering to eight cash prizes of $500 each, alongside the chance to win a premium YETI Cooler. There will be nine winners in this celebratory edition of the raffle.

Funds raised through the raffle will support critical patient care needs, including medical equipment, transportation, and other essential services. Proceeds from the Highlanders Boutique Gift Shop, popcorn sales and several other special sales are donated annually to the MyMichigan Health Foundation and are used exclusively to support MyMichigan Medical Center Alma.

“The 5th Annual Golden Ticket Raffle is a key fundraising event impacting patient care at MyMichigan Medical Center Alma,” said Becky Church, director, MyMichigan Health Foundation. “Every ticket sold, and every dollar raised, helps us provide excellent care and a healthier future for generations to come. We thank our volunteers for their continuous support in our purpose of ‘Creating Healthy Communities - Together.’”

The Golden Ticket Raffle drawing will take place at 1 p.m., Dec. 12, in the MyMichigan Medical Center Alma Hospital Entrance lobby. Winners will be contacted through the information noted on the ticket.
