New Women’s Health Provider Joins MyMichigan’s Medical Centers in Mt. Pleasant and Alma

Jennifer Schmidt, D.O.

Board-certified physician and surgeon, Jennifer Schmidt, D.O., has joined MyMichigan Obstetrics and Gynecology. She delivers babies at MyMichigan Medical Center Alma, located at 300 East Warwick Drive, in Alma, and sees patients in her office at MyMichigan Medical Center Mt. Pleasant at 4851 East Pickard Street, Suite 2100, in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Schmidt also performs surgery at MyMichigan Medical Centers in Alma, Midland, Mt. Pleasant and Saginaw.

Dr. Schmidt is passionate when it comes to teaching women about health and their bodies. “Women of all ages need a caring doctor to help them navigate changes that occur throughout their lives,” said Dr. Schmidt. “I am an educator at heart, and when it comes to caring for my patients, I offer them a comfortable setting without judgement to ask questions and learn. I focus on developing a bond of trust and spend time teaching them about what is going on with their body. I provide information about treatment options so they can make decisions that will guide their health and lifestyle improvement.”

Dr. Schmidt has more than 13 years of experience in providing care for high-risk obstetrics, breech vaginal deliveries for twins, treating urogynecology, pelvic pain and endometriosis. As a surgeon, she is highly trained in daVinci robotic surgery for various conditions. Dr. Schmidt earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing and completed her OB/GYN residency through Synergy Medical Education Alliance in Saginaw. Her medical practice was previously with Women’s Ob/Gyn in Saginaw.
