Wolverine State Credit Union Sponsors Medical Center Clay Shoot
Ann Diamond, director, MyMichigan Health Foundation accepts a $1,500 check to sponsor this year’s Clays for a Cause event from Nick Montie, CEO, Wolverine State Credit Union.
Wolverine State Credit Union (WSCU) recently offered their show of support with a sponsorship of Clays for a Cause, an annual clay shooting event hosted by MyMichigan Health Foundation’s Annual Support Committee. This year’s event will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Alpena Sportsmen’s Club with teams of four shooting through 12 stations with 50 clays available per shooter. The team to hit the most clays total, wins. All funds raised from this year’s event will go towards funding a new $150,000 ultrasound machine to be placed in the recently remodeled Breast Health Suite at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.
Ann Diamond, director, MyMichigan Health Foundation, accepted the $1,500 sponsorship. “Wolverine State Credit Union has been a long-time supporter of MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Their dedication to the larger community and supporting its health and well-being is remarkable,” said Diamond. “I’m proud to receive this gift and to be able to thank WSCU for all that they do for our patients and our community at large.”
WSCU has been a supporter of MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena since its inception. Over the years, the Credit Union has helped to fund major projects, such as the now-completed patient tower expansion, as well as regularly support the needs of the Alpena Cancer Center. WSCU also promotes a healthy lifestyle for its employees and was awarded the Health Leadership Award in 2022 by the MyMichigan Health Foundation’s Business Relations Committee.
“We are proud to partner with MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena and sponsor Clays for a Cause,” said Nick Montie, CEO, Wolverine State Credit Union. “Supporting the Medical Center helps to ensure we all have access to the health care we need while creating a healthier, stronger community together. It’s part of our mission to ‘empower individuals and businesses to achieve their financial goals, while strengthening our communities.’ We want to ensure our employees and customers are able enjoy their financial success. To do so to the fullest extent, they need access to great health care and opportunities to enjoy a healthy, satisfying life.”
“We appreciate Wolverine State Credit Union’s dedication to improving the health and wellness of our community,” Diamond continued. “Their generosity has made, and will continue to make, a difference for years to come.”
