MyMichigan Health Network was created in 1993 for just this purpose – to connect people to quality health care. The word “network” in our name describes our goal to make the connections needed to make health care work – and work well – for employers and employees here in Michigan.
MyMichigan Health Network is a joint venture between Physician Associates of Michigan, P.C. and MyMichigan Health. This partnership between the physicians and hospitals that you already know and trust explains how we excel at delivering quality outcomes while remaining cost-effective.
MyMichigan Health Network, which is a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO), has been successful in offering valuable health insurance contracts to its members due to the high-quality providers and facilities in its network. Members of MHN have access to a diversified contract portfolio of roughly 25 health insurer contracts including Michigan-based and national health insurers. MHN also provides analytics for claims, clinical reporting, pay-for-performance and value based payor programs.
The primary way we connect you with quality health care is through ConnectCare, our preferred provider organization. ConnectCare is available to local employers as a self-funded insurance option so that their employees can be connected to the health care they need.

Broad Provider Network
Employers appreciate that ConnectCare has the broadest provider network available in middle and northern Michigan with more than 700 providers familiar local hospitals and a broad array of advanced specialty services. While our home is here in the middle of Michigan, ConnectCare also travels with you wherever you go, connecting you to health care both in and out of state.
Cost-Effective Care
ConnectCare’s Utilization Management program ensures the most appropriate use of resources with the best quality outcomes. MyMichigan Health Network’s medical direction through the leadership of a board certified physician with more than 15 years of local practice experience. Also behind the scenes are associate medical directors and a physician behavioral health consultant.
In addition, registered nurses work collaboratively with the medical directors to review admissions, assist in medical necessity decision-making, and to provide ongoing case management for patients with targeted treatments and illnesses.
Flexible Plan Design
The ConnectCare PPO plan offers employers a range of design choices to meet their individual needs. In addition to broad network accessibility, health plan design and care management, customized benefit options include flexible spending accounts, COBRA/HIPAA, medical and prescription plan administration, as well as corporate wellness and occupational health offerings.
