According to Ashley, many patients suffer from chronic pain and have had failed therapies in the past. “Working in pain management allows me to use many different tools to develop individualized plans of care for patients that will provide relief that they have not been able to achieve before,” she added.
Philosophy of Care
“It is very important to me to develop a trusting relationship with my patients in order to learn what their goals are for their care so that we can work together to achieve positive outcomes,” she said. “I feel it is my responsibility to listen closely to my patients, provide education on different treatment modalities, and develop a plan of care that will best meet their needs.“
When asked what aspect of her work she enjoys most, Ashley said she likes seeing her patients improve their quality of life and experience decreased pain after implementation of an agreed upon treatment plan.
