Biography
Danielle Bennett, D.O., specializes in family medicine and sees patients of all ages at the East End Building in Midland, Michigan.
Philosophy of Care
“So many things drew me to Family Medicine,” Dr. Bennett said. “I love the chance to work with everyone in a family. Helping patients achieve their best health often is integrally woven into what happens within the home and amongst family members, so when I’m able to care for everyone I get the best chance to help patients reach their goals. I also love the variety in family medicine, not only in the ages of the patients, but also in the variety of treatments I get to be a part of.”
“I like working with my patients as they are. I don’t want them to feel ashamed or discouraged if they are struggling with their health. I want to set them up for their best life, and it is my hope that with encouragement and knowledge they will make the healthiest choices they can.”
Dr. Bennett views achieving health as a team sport and stresses the value of patient education.
“I truly want my patient to feel like we are a team,” she said. “My goal is to give patients the best information and tools possible and help them to live their healthiest life. Yet ultimately it is up to them to choose how they achieve health and wellness. I am there to provide support as they work to achieve their goals.”
“I believe a physician should not only treat illness, but teach and provide knowledge to empower their patients. I feel if you understand why you are taking certain medications or making certain changes in your life you will have better success at treatment. I make time for patients to ask questions and for me to answer them.”
Dr. Bennett is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
“I enjoy working with patients who have a goal to life healthy lives and achieve healthy fitness and weight goals. I also enjoy treating muscle and joint injuries. I believe we can help people move better and feel the best about themselves through appropriate intervention using everything from physical therapy to dietary treatments of the body.”
In her free time, Dr. Bennett pursues the active lifestyle that she encourages in her patients. “I love to downhill ski (even in Michigan). That is my happy place. I also enjoy general fitness activities including running, hiking, and being outdoors in this great state.”
