Philosophy of Care
My philosophy of care is centered around shared goals and building a trusting relationship. I want my patients to feel that I listen to their concerns, am their advocate, and that I am a resource for them. I truly believe that listening and being compassionate goes a long way in healthcare.”
“I strive to have a collaborative relationship with my patients. I don’t want patients to feel that I am just spewing medical jargon at them and demanding they change. I know that changes take time and want them to trust that I have their best interest when it comes to their health. Their goals are my goals.”
“The reason I went into healthcare was simply to serve my community and to care for others. When I see patients take charge of their health and improve their quality of life that is the most satisfying aspect of my work.”
“I worked as a Registered Nurse for several years prior to becoming an FNP. Caring for patients in the acute setting gives me an extra initiative to push my patients to improve their health. I’ve been at the bedside with my patients and their families seeing first hand their most vulnerable moments, and my goal is to prevent patients from these situations.
“I’m married with two young children so my hobbies revolve around spending my time with them. We love being outdoors and recently started both kids in hockey/skating, so that’s been something fun we all do together as a family.”
