Philosophy of Care
Kristen believes in providing comprehensive cardiac care that is customized and reflects a patient needs, values and choices. “I enjoy working with patients by balancing their wishes and beliefs with the best options for cardiac management and treatment,” she said. “The most rewarding aspect of my career is the relationships I have developed with patients and their families over time. My overall goal is to provide comprehensive cardiac care with a personalized touch.”
Special Interests and Procedures
According to Kristen, one of the most significant procedural advancements in the field of cardiology is transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR). “This revolutionary structural heart procedure allows an interventional cardiologist to replace a defective heart valve without open-heart surgery,” she added. “This has brought new hope for patients who may not qualify for open aortic valve replacement surgery, as well as a quicker recovery.”
In her free time, Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors with her German Shorthaired Pointers. She also enjoys skiing, golfing, swimming and biking.
