Biography
Scott Ross, M.D., is a family medicine physician who sees patients of all ages at Family Practice Center Midland. He enjoys providing care to every generation, and forming deep connections with the families that he cares for. “I enjoy the broad scope of my work, from caring for newborns to discussing end of life, from helping athletes prepare for their activities to helping people recover from surgery, from helping new parents care for their children to helping them care for their parents,” Dr. Ross said.
Philosophy of Care
“My philosophy of care is to help educate patients about their health and disease processes in order to empower them to make healthy decisions throughout their life,” Dr. Ross said. “I want to be a partner with my patients and create a better future for them and their family.” Dr. Ross strives to form relationships that allow him to care for patients through all ages and medical conditions. “I want to be a trusted source of information to help patients navigate the health care system throughout their lifespan,” he said. “I have years of experience in caring for families and practicing common procedures in family medicine, yet stay up to date by incorporating medical education in my practice,” Dr. Ross added.
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Ross has a special interest in vasectomy, Nexplanon insertion/removal, skin biopsy, joint injections, IUD insertion/removal and cryotherapy. In addition, he has a special interest in adolescent health, sports medicine, musculoskeletal care and procedural medicine. In his free time, Dr. Ross enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie, and their three children. He also likes to travel, visit national parks, explore Midland, do local volunteer work, hike and watch MSU football.
