Biography
Subramanyam Yadam, M.D., is a pulmonologist and critical care specialist. He is also the Medical Director of the Respiratory Care Department, Pulmonary Function Lab and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland. Dr. Yadam is board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.
Completing his residency in Internal Medicine confirmed his passion for the pulmonary specialty. “It challenges me every day because of all the advancements in technology and new procedures,” he said.
Dr. Yadam started the pulmonology and critical care program at MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland and has shaped it into the outstanding service it is today. “It’s gone from a one-person group to a seven-person group,” Dr. Yadam explained. “My goal is to provide a decent and quality program of care for the community. I require the staff and myself to perform up-to-date procedures and stay current with developments in our field.”
With more than 30 years of experience at MidMichigan, Dr. Yadam is well respected and is recognized as one of the best practitioners in his chosen specialty.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Yadam wants his patients to know that he will take care of them with respect. He truly understands that the patient is in control and makes the final decisions. “Nothing is a small problem in my eyes,” he said. “I treat each patient the same. I give them options based on my diagnosis and respect what they come to decide.”
If he has spare time, Dr. Yadam enjoys playing tennis in the fall and golf in the summer. Without his wife and her unconditional support, Dr. Yadam said that he would not be where he is today. They have two children who are both following in their father’s footsteps to become physicians.
