Biography
David Roden, M.D., is an otolaryngologist with MyMichigan Medical Group. He specializes in diseases of the ear, the nose and sinus, the neck and associated glandular structures of the head and neck (thyroid, parotid, parathyroid), associated cancers, and sleep disorders that are treated by surgery.
“From children with throat and ear problems to adults with sinus and hearing problems, I try to provide comfort and long-range solutions to create better health for all ages,” he said.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Roden creates a collaborative relationship with his patients, using both medicine and surgery to manage ear, nose and throat problems.
“Identifying anatomical problems and repairing them surgically is especially rewarding,” Dr. Roden said. “I enjoy using technology to minimize risk and discomfort during the operative period and seeing the fast improvement that patients of all ages make after surgery.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Roden’s special interests include endoscopic sinus surgery using image enhanced surgical navigation, surgery for snoring and sleep apnea, hearing aid evaluation and consultation and thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
Dr. Roden is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has written numerous articles.
Dr. Roden grew up in St. Joseph, Michigan. He and his wife live in Midland and have three children. His spare-time interests include physical fitness and fishing.
