About
A department of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, sarcoidosis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and other inflammatory disorders may benefit from seeing and rheumatologist. At MyMichigan Health, it is our goal to provide every patient we see with excellent care.
Our Virtual Care Clinic is a "brick and mortar" location that has everything you need to successfully complete a virtual visit with your provider. This includes audio and video equipment, broadband access, a secure Internet connection, and in some cases, specialized clinical equipment and staff who are trained to examine you and report your symptoms or vitals to the remote provider.
At the MyMichigan Rheumatology Virtual Clinic, the provider will always see you via a secure video link. If you are in the office for your visit, the office staff will help you get connected using the office equipment and will act as a telemedicine presenter during your visit. They will operate the equipment, take your vital signs or perform other physical examinations as requested by the provider. If you are taking your office visit from the comfort of your home, please make sure that you have a good internet connection on your smartphone/computer/tablet or other device.
