Registration Details

  • The ideal time to complete this class is between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. Please choose a class that starts after your 28th week of pregnancy and that finishes at least 30 days prior to your expected due date.
  • Registration is required and space is limited.
  • Registration closes 2 weeks prior to class date, to allow for mailed materials to reach participants.
  • After you register, a week before the event, you will receive a follow-up email with instructions on how to attend the webinar. Please watch your email for these instructions. 
  • Equipment Needed: Join the webinar from your smartphone/computer/tablet or other device with an internet connection or you may listen in using the phone number provided in your instructions.

Fees & Payment

The charge for this program is $60 per couple. Payment is due at the time of registration, using a debit or credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa or Discover. Instructors do not take money at the class.

Medicaid Coverage
Healthy Beginnings classes are fully covered under Medicaid. Patients who are currently enrolled in Medicaid may enter their Medicaid number when registering for these classes to receive them free of charge. Please note, per Medicaid policy, patients must attend at least 50 percent of the class time and cover at least 50 percent of the class material. Patients who register and then fail to meet the attendance requirement will be responsible to pay for the class in full.

Description

This class prepares you and your labor partner for active participation in the birth experience. The class covers:

  • Understanding Pregnancy
  • The most up-to-date techniques for labor and delivery, including the unexpected and cesarean birth
  • Comfort Techniques 
  • Epidurals and other anesthesia procedures
  • Hospital practices
  • Newborn appearance and procedure
  • Postpartum

Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend an event for which you registered, we are happy to reschedule you for another available date, transfer your registration to another eligible person, or process a full refund. To receive a transfer or refund, you must call MidMichigan Health Line prior to the cancellation deadline for your event.
