Save My Spot at Urgent Care

How does it work?

Save My Spot enables you to choose an approximate time to arrive at Urgent Care and then saves your place in line. Please note, this is not a guaranteed appointment time, but rather an estimated time of arrival. The goal is to minimize your time in the waiting room by allowing you to wait at home, or wherever you feel most comfortable. We will make every effort to see you within 15 minutes of your estimated arrival time, if you arrive on time. However, unforeseen circumstances may sometimes cause delays. This service currently is available at MyMichigan Urgent Care in Houghton Lake.

What if I arrive late?

Late arrivals will lose their guaranteed place in line, but may still be seen as a walk-in by registering at Urgent Care during business hours.

Do I have to use Save My Spot before visiting Urgent Care?

No, you can still walk into Urgent Care without a reservation and be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The Urgent Care Wait Time displayed on our website is a real-time estimate (updated every 5 minutes) of how long the next walk-in patient is likely to wait between registration and seeing a provider, based on the current queue of patients. It does not encompass the entire visit, but only the time spent waiting for the visit to begin. Once you register, you can choose to remain in the waiting room or — if your expected wait is long — you may request an estimated time of arrival so that you may leave and return to Urgent Care at or before your estimated time.
