MyKitchen Teaching
Providing Education and Support
A person’s diet has been found to be a contributing, modifiable risk factor for heart disease. That’s why we incorporated a mobile teaching kitchen into our new state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Center, located on the campus of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland. This free educational series is aimed at helping people learn the importance of healthy eating to improve their overall heart health. This free series includes six 90-minute classes, and provides information on weight management, cooking skills, the Mediterranean Diet, carbohydrates, sodium and fats, as well as eating fresh.
