Feeding Your Baby

Bottle-FeedingWhether you choose to breast feed or bottle feed or both, MyMichigan Health provides the training and support you need to get off to a great start.

Our Maternity Center nurses are specially trained to provide instruction and assistance during your hospital stay. They will show you proper feeding techniques and provide helpful written instructions to take home with you. Instructional videos on a variety of breast- and bottle-feeding topics are also available to watch in your hospital room.

After you go home, MyMichigan has certified breastfeeding counselors who are available to answer questions and help you solve problems. You may also call one of our Maternity Centers and leave a message for a nurse to return your call. Or you may wish to contact your doctor.
