Symptoms

Symptoms include pain in the elbow or proximal forearm and possibly some weakness. X-rays are often taken to evaluate any possible bony abnormalities in the area.

Treatment

Treatment consists of ice, immobilization, a course of anti-inflammatory medication and possibly a steroid injection to alleviate the symptoms of this persistent malady. Physical therapy may also be a treatment option.
