Biography
Scott Stevens, D.O., specializes in internal medicine. He sees adult patients at MyMichigan Internal Medicine in the Campus Ridge Building in Midland.
Philosophy of Care
“I believe that patients should steer the ship and I am here to give guidance based on my training and experience,” said Dr. Stevens. “My two goals are for patients to feel better and live longer.”
“I hope to be the kind of provider with whom patients feel comfortable bringing up anything. I would like to establish decades-long relationships with people in the community.”
Dr. Stevens chose internal medicine because it gives him the opportunity to treat the body as a whole rather than focusing on one system.
“It’s rewarding when I am able to make changes or give advice that patients follow and generally feel better after. I also love when patients make lifestyle changes, and we are able to stop medications because of their good choices.”
“I think that I do a good job of prioritizing what patients are concerned about with their health. If you really want to get to the bottom of an issue, I think I can give good insight about what to do next..”
In his free time, Dr. Stevens enjoys spending time with his wife, Melanie, son, Harrison, and daughter, Daisy.
“Every once and a while I can go golfing and play racquetball with my colleagues. I’m a big fan of running when time allows. I’ve taken a lot of interest in reading about medical history and medieval Europe lately, too.”
