Biography
John Hagan, D.O., specializes in family medicine. He sees patients of all ages at MyMichigan Family Medicine 555 W Wackerly Street in Midland.
Philosophy of Care
“I became a family practitioner because I love being somebody’s doctor and having an ongoing partnership with them,” said Dr. Hagan. “I want patients to know they can seek my counsel on any topic relating to their health.”
“My philosophy of care revolves around the concept of shared-decision making. I apply the knowledge and training I acquired in medical school and residency to formulate management plans for patients based on their own values and goals.”
“I want to earn my patients’ trust through honesty and integrity. I pride myself on my honesty and my commitment to patients. If I don’t know something, I won’t pretend to know, but I care enough to find an answer for my patient.”
“The most satisfying aspects of my work are being available to help people in their time of need and having the knowledge and training to provide excellent care.”
“The most exciting development in Family Medicine has been a shift in emphasis toward value-based care. Since I began my training an attempt has been made to strive for outcomes that matter to patients. I want to carry this development forward.”
Dr. Hagan looks forward to joining and being part of the community, along with his wife and two young children. His hobbies include playing ice hockey, golfing, and reading.
