Philosophy of Care
“While working in the hospital as a nurse in an acute care setting, I have always wanted to see the longer-term impacts of my care.” Megan said. “Being a primary care provider will enable me to experience and care for patients on a more personal, long term basis.”
“My goal is to provide the best patient-centered and patient-driven care for my patients, treating more than just their illness, but providing quality, individualized care to every patient.”
“I try to create a relationship in which my patients feel they can be honest with me and trust me to manage their health so that they can achieve their health status goals. Seeing patients feel better and realizing improvement in their overall health is the most satisfying aspect of my work.”
“Most of my nursing career has been spent in emergency medicine. It has taught me to be calm in stressful situations, and I think I can bring that calming attitude to the office for my patients who are experiencing stressful life and health situations. It has also gained me many skills and a broad knowledge that I believe will help me be a better family practice provider.”
“The discovery and use of telemedicine has been a great tool for the medical field, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic. Telemedicine allows us to still provide great care to our patients, without always having to see them in the office.”
“I love to spend my free time with my husband, Bryan, and my daughter, Ellisyn, going for nature walks, and experiencing the fun of raising a toddler!”
“I am excited for this new opportunity to join MyMichigan’s family medicine group and to meet new people and establish relationships with patients.”
