Biography
Angie Steih, M.S.N., F.N.P.-C., is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in wound treatment. Prior to receiving her nurse practitioner degree, she worked as an inpatient wound, ostomy and continence nurse, giving her a unique insight and understanding of caring for patients with wounds. “Caring for patients with wounds and ostomies has become something I cannot imagine not doing,” she said. “The satisfaction of seeing patients’ wounds progress and then finally heal changes people’s lives and is what attracted me to this specialty.”
Philosophy of Care
“I want to treat all my patients how I would want my family members to be treated and create an environment with open and honest communication,” said Angie. “I think when a patient understands the ‘why’ behind reasons things are being used, or not used, they are more likely to continue with the mutually created plan of care.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Angie has a special interest in wound debridement, advanced wound dressings and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and is certified in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (CWOC).
In her free time, Angie and her husband, Brody, enjoy watching their son and daughter play sports, hunting, fishing and trapping.
