Biography
Daniel Goodin, M.D., specializes in family medicine. He sees patients of all ages at MyMichigan Health Park Gladwin.
Philosophy of Care
“I was drawn to mission work as an undergraduate, and since choosing medicine as a career, I wanted to work in an underserved area,” said Dr. Goodin. “I think that family medicine provides the best opportunity to care for the widest range of people and make the biggest impact in an underserved setting.”
“I think it takes a whole team of workers to provide optimal patient care, including the nursing staff, greeters, and many more. Most importantly, the patients need to understand that they are part of that team and without their active participation, they cannot hope to obtain optimal health.”
“I want to educate and help empower patients to make changes that will improve their overall health. Sometimes this is simply taking medications as prescribed but more often it involves whole lifestyle changes. I want patients to be active participants in their care and know that their voice will be heard.”
“Any improvement in my patient’s health is satisfying, but I especially love to see improvements, however small, in seemingly impossible situations.”
In his spare time, Dr. Goodin enjoys spending time with his wife, Maresa, and their dog, Louie, as well as outdoor activities such as camping and hiking.
“I’m also an Indiana Hoosiers basketball fan and enjoy cheering on the Pacers and Colts.”
