Biography
Chelsea Bruns, P.A.-C., is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in family medicine. She sees patients of all ages at the MyMichigan Family Medicine office in the Midland Professional Suites on Wackerly Street.
Philosophy of Care
“I chose family medicine so I can care for not only an individual, but the entire family,” said Chelsea. “I love developing deep rooted relationships where they come back year after year. I want to be my patients’ home base for all of their medical care.”
“I strive to help my patients achieve their best overall health by caring for both their physical and mental well-being.”
“In order to have a good relationship with patients we need to form trust with each other. When they leave my office, I hope they feel that they were listened to and understand future steps in their care.”
Chelsea finds satisfaction in helping someone understand and navigate through their health journey. “This could range anywhere from a new diagnosis, to giving them an antibiotic, to helping them feel better from an acute illness.”
“I take time to listen to all of my patients and treat everyone with care and respect. I feel strongly that it’s important for me to set an example of health through diet and exercise.”
Chelsea has seen many ways that technology has improved the delivery of medicine, including the development of electronic medical records.
“In Family Medicine, being able to communicate through the patient portal makes our patients feel that they can always access us. I feel it’s a vital step in medicine.”
Chelsea is a Midland native and enjoys being outside, reading and spending time with family and friends. Her husband, Conner, is a physical therapist at MyMichigan Health and they are proud parents of a little boy and soon to be baby girl.
