Philosophy of Care
“I was attracted to gynecologic oncology as a specialty because it allows me to develop long-term relationships with patients, and it has a unique mix of both surgery and chemotherapy,” said Dr. Siedel.
“I have a whole-patient approach to care, which includes addressing their medical and surgical needs, as well as their emotional and spiritual wellness.”
“I hope to create long-lasting relationships with my patients that span the entire course of their treatment and post-treatment surveillance. I want them to feel their opinions are valued and heard.”
“Helping patients through a difficult time in their life is the most satisfying aspect of my work.”
“During my training, I was exposed to a wide depth and breadth of diseases, both common and rare. I also have a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences which I completed during my fellowship training.”
“The use of targeted therapies and immunotherapy to treat gynecologic cancers has opened up treatment options for patients who otherwise would not have many options.”
