Biography
Certified Nurse Practitioner Erin Harwood, N.P.-C. specializes in Colon and Rectal Surgery and Gynecology. She sees patients at the Orchard Building and the Center for Women’s Health at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.
Erin also has experience as a registered nurse in Maternity, Pediatrics and newborn care and as a nurse practitioner in Family Medicine.

Erin is part of a team of women’s health experts that includes gynecologists from MyMichigan Health and MyMichigan Medicine specialists in urogynecology and gynecologic oncology. An important part of her role is to ensure good collaboration and coordination of care as this team of local specialists and visiting sub-specialists works together to care for patients.
“I hope that patients will feel comfortable with me, knowing that I am here for them in the office when their Michigan Medicine provider might not be able to be here in our Midland office.”
“I believe that a major part of my job is helping patients understand their options, whether that is the need for surgical intervention or conservative management. I am a liaison between the patient and the surgeons here in our office and have the ability to answer any questions that may arise after they have met with the providers as well as help coordinate their care.”
During her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with family and friends, water activities, skiing and traveling to warmer climates. She has a teenage son who is active in football and golf and a young daughter who is active in dance and soccer.
“I am a Midland Native, and love living and working in a community that I have called home for my whole life. I am very active with my children and family and believe it is important to surround yourself with those you love.”
Erin also works as a forensic nurse examiner for adult and pediatric sexual assault victims and works at MyMichigan Urgent Care in Midland on a monthly basis.

- Overactive bladder treatment such as per cutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS)
- Urodynamic testing to diagnose stress and urge incontinence
