Philosophy of Care
“What I love most about Family Medicine is the continuity of care that I get with my patients,” said Dr. Philip. “I enjoy creating meaningful relationships with patients and their families over the years and providing them with quality medical care.”
“The most important aspect in treating patients is understanding their history, and for that, communication is key. I believe that it is important to have open communication with my patients, so that they feel comfortable and know that they can trust me to help them achieve their health goals. I also believe strongly in preventive care. Preventing illnesses enables us to provide patients with a higher quality of life, which is my ultimate goal.”
“I believe it is important that the patient-provider relationship is one with mutual respect, trust and understanding. This makes it easier to create a personalized care plan for each patient that will help them achieve their treatment goals.”
“One of the most rewarding aspects of Family Medicine is being able to look back at a patient and their family’s starting point and seeing the progress they have made towards a higher degree of wellness.
The continuity of care that Family Medicine provides helps facilitate this process. I believe that remembering your past helps guide your path towards the future.”
“As an osteopathic physician, I believe in approaching patient care in a holistic way, to provide patients with a comprehensive treatment plan. I am trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and I perform Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) on patients whenever applicable, particularly with musculoskeletal-related complaints or chronic pain. In clinical practice, I have found that patients tolerate OMT well and improve faster with the combination of standard medical care and OMT.”
“I also have an interest in adult and geriatric medicine. I find that the complexities of geriatric medicine, in particular, can be challenging but also very rewarding.”
“When I do have free time, I enjoy traveling, reading and cooking different cuisines.”
