Biography
Malini Venkatram, M.D., is a rheumatologist who sees patients at MyMichigan Medical Center Mt. Pleasant via telemedicine. For the last several years, Dr. Venkatram has provided tele-rheumatology care, and she has developed novel skills and innovative ways to utilize telemedicine to provide rheumatology care without compromising on safety, quality of care or patient satisfaction.
“I provide state-of-the-art rheumatology care with an optimal balance of evidence-based science and medicine,” she said. “I’m committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care and patient education that is customized to each individual patient.”
Philosophy of Care
“Perseverance, clinical excellence and compassionate care are my goals in individual patient care,” said Dr. Venkatram. “My values and ethical beliefs, holistic approach and experience with lifestyle medicine add to my patients’ positive experience and well-being. Medicine is more than just my profession; it’s my passion and lifestyle.”
Dr. Venkatram’s medical journey was a good mix of clinical, academic, mentoring, administrative and leadership experiences, through her faculty role at Wayne State University and community practice combined over 12 years. In addition, she’s trained under leading rheumatology physicians at University of Michigan Health System.
“My professional journey has led me to become an ethical doctor and excellent clinician,” Dr. Venkatram said. “I cherish using my skills to deliver care to patients using the technology of telemedicine.”
