Biography
Taylor Waltz, P.A.-C., specializes in family medicine. She sees patients of all ages at the Family Practice Center, located in the Gerstacker Building on the campus of MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland.
Philosophy of Care
“I was drawn to a field of practice where I would be able to get to know my patients and assist them in general well-being as well as being available for any illness that may arise. The most satisfying aspect of my work is to grow with my patients and be able to see their long-term positive results. It feels great to be able to be by their side on their journey to a happy and healthy life. I am thrilled to be able to provide care for all age groups.”
Taylor believes the patient and practitioner need to work as a team to achieve the best health goals.
“The best and most successful care happens when the patient and the provider work together to create a care plan,” said Taylor. “Taking the patient’s wishes and concerns into account when creating an individualized care plan can ensure the best and most attainable outcomes for each person.”
“I strive to create an open and personal relationship with each patient so that they feel they can come to me with any concerns or issues about their health. This ensures we can create a plan to assist them in living their healthiest life.”
Family medicine involves not just preventive care but diagnosis and helping patients manage common conditions, such as diabetes. “A recent and exciting discovery in family medicine is the creation and efficacy of a wide range of diabetic medications and devices to fit many different lifestyles, such as once a week medications,” Taylor said. “Finding the right medication regiment that fits each individual’s world can do wonders in helping them manage the condition without interfering with their lifestyle.”
Taylor is excited to be returning to her hometown to practice medicine in a community that she knows and loves. During her spare time, she likes to golf, boat and travel around the beautiful state of Michigan.
“I also love spending time with family including my cat, Rory, and my Berenedoodles, Charlie and Sammie.”
