Biography
James Ware D.O., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with MidMichigan Health, and a member of MidMichigan’s comprehensive musculoskeletal team. As an orthopedic surgeon, he is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries, disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. This system includes bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves and tendons.
Dr. Ware currently sees patients at his offices in Alma, Clare and Mt. Pleasant and performs surgeries at MidMichigan Medical Centers in Gratiot and Clare, as well as the Mt. Pleasant Surgery Center. He has been in practice since 1998.
Philosophy of Care
“My general philosophy of care is to ensure that my patients always come first,” he said. “It is my goal to provide the best orthopedic care possible so that I can help my patients return to their day-to-day lives as safely and quickly as possible.”
Special Interests and Procedures
While he offers a full range of general orthopedic and fracture care, Dr. Ware also specializes in variety of specific areas. These include anterior approach hip replacements; arthroscopic knee surgery and outpatient total knee replacements; shoulder surgeries, including arthroscopic rotator cuff and shoulder labral tear repair. He also specializes in a variety of hand surgeries, including carpal tunnel release surgery. Dr. Ware serves as a medical director for the Mt. Pleasant Surgery Center.
In his free time, Dr. Ware enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and sons.
