Biography
Kathryn Esch, M.S.N., F.N.P.-C., is a certified nurse practitioner who specializes in sleep medicine. She sees patients in Mt. Pleasant and Alma.
Kathryn’s background in cardiology and electrophysiology opened her eyes to the prevalence and negative effects of sleep disorders. Sleep disorders often go undiagnosed and untreated. “The treatment of sleep disorders, like so many other health conditions, can provide significant improvement in a patient’s quality of life,” she said.
Philosophy of Care
Kathryn’s philosophy of care is to form a team with her patients. “My patients are in charge of their care,” she said. “It’s my job, along with other members of their health care team, to provide the tools and resources so that patients can live a healthy and fulfilled life.”
“Patients should choose me for their care because I will work with them to achieve their health goals,” she said. “Being a health care provider isn’t just prescribing a standardized treatment plan. I listen to patients and their concerns and involve them in decision making. I believe adequate communication and a team approach build a great foundation for patient care.”
Kathryn resides in the central Michigan area and enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and doing crafts.
