Tiffini Jarstfer - Clare, MI
"Receiving the Bailey scholarship has lightened my financial burden, which allows me to focus on my studies."
Following in Her Mother's Footsteps
From a young age, Tiffini Jarstfer from Clare wanted to be a nurse, following in the footsteps of her mom. A scholarship from The Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey Family Fund is helping her do that.
“My mother is a nurse and she always enjoyed her job and shared stories of the patients she helped,” Jarstfer said. “I chose to pursue a career in nursing mainly because I wanted to help others and make a difference in someone’s life.”
Jarstfer is currently attending Ferris State University for a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in nursing administration. Her future plans are to work in an administrative position to advocate for staff and patients.
Jarstfer said she is honored to have received the Bailey scholarship and that she hopes to pass on the Baileys’ spirit of support.
“Receiving this scholarship has lightened my financial burden of attending graduate school, which allows me to focus more on school and studying,” she said. “I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals, just as the Baileys have helped me.”
The Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey Family Fund is an endowment fund given to MyMichigan Health to administer as a student scholarship program for those area individuals interested in pursuing professional schooling in a health-related profession.
