Pharmacy Residency Program
Welcome to MyMichigan Medical Center Midland's Pharmacy Residency Program. The post-graduate pharmacy residency (PGY1) program is designed to provide residents with comprehensive training to obtain the knowledge, experience, and critical thinking skills necessary to become leaders in pharmacy practice. The program is structured to allow residents to practice in a variety of roles, and is flexible to meet each individual’s needs and interests.
As part of their longitudinal staffing rotation, residents will staff on a rotating schedule throughout the 12 month residency as they complete their clinical rotations. Additional longitudinal experiences include teaching/ preceptor, administration, and a research project to be presented at the Great Lakes Pharmacy Resident Conference. Upon completion of the program, residents will be able to confidently apply their skills in direct patient care, exhibit excellent decision-making skills, and provide education and leadership.

Your training will take place at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland. The Medical Center is the "flagship" of MyMichigan Health, an integrated health system composed of a variety of health care organizations and joint ventures. MyMichigan Health is affiliated with the University of Michigan Health System.
The campus is located on 225 wooded acres and is a 324 licensed-bed hospital that offers a broad range of primary care and specialty care services; 24/7 Emergency Department and many clinical services and advanced technologies, including but not limited to a full range of specialty services, including heart and vascular care, cancer care, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, surgical services, behavioral health, maternity care, physical rehabilitation, surgical weight management and diabetes care. Trauma Services at the Medical Center is designated as a Level II Trauma Center, which includes 24-hour immediate coverage by the trauma team.
