Vacations & Continuing Medical Education
Each resident will receive 20 days of paid time off for each year of residency. This can be used for vacation or continuing medical education conferences.
Reimbursement will be available for expenses incurred while attending approved medical conferences or for purchase of medical books, study material or required examinations up to:
$1500 for first year residents
$1800 for second year residents
$2000 for third year residents
Certifications
Each resident will complete ACLS, NRP, ALSO, PALS and Fundamental Critical Care Support certification training. The expenses for these training courses are paid by the residency program.
Licensure/Board Certification Exam
The program covers the cost of the Michigan Educational and Controlled Substance licenses, and the cost of the ABFM Board Exam.
iPad
Each resident receives an iPad to use, making it easy to access information on the go.
Uniforms & Meals
Lab coats and a meal allowance are provided.
Insurance Benefits
A managed-care preferred provider plan, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance is available for resident, spouse and minor children effective the first of the month following the date of employment.
Moving Expenses
Relocation and moving expenses up to $1,500 are available to incoming residents.
