The Fitness Center located inside the Campus Ridge Building at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland serves MyMichigan Health employees and community members. Through cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, functional fitness, and group exercise we aim to support a healthy and fit lifestyle. As a medically based center, we provide a variety of opportunities for physical well-being delivered by caring and highly educated professionals.

  • Joining Fee - $30/one-time
  • Single Membership Dues - $20/mo.

Group Fitness

We take our purpose statement of "Creating Healthy Communities Together" seriously. That is why your Health and Wellness is important to us. Whether you want to improve your health or increase your fitness level, we offer a variety of group fitness classes to help you achieve your goals. Our classes are taught by trained staff in a comfortable setting with safety and fun in mind.

Classes are FREE to Fitness Center members. Individuals who are not Fitness Center members can attend classes by purchasing a punch card - Price: 10 classes for $30 | 20 classes for $50

Class Descriptions

Cycling (Spinning)

These stationary cycling classes are held in the airy cycling room on 3rd floor of parking ramp. If you need to get in a great cardio workout in a short period of time – this is the class for you! Go at your own pace, choose your own intensity and enjoy the ride. Cycling Class that lasts for 60 minutes will have 45 minutes of cycling follow by additional stretching and core work at end of session. Please call or email ahead if this is your first class session.

Pilates Plus

Joseph Pilates’ Methods are used to work and elongate the core muscles. Traditional Stott Pilates mat exercises are used along with a variety of props lengthen, strengthen and challenge your core muscles. Rings, rollers, light weights, and balls are incorporated into the class, in addition to balance work and tips to develop a better posture.

Total Body Circuit

Total body circuit is a conditioning workout for everyone designed to enhance muscle definition, balance, strength, and endurance in major muscle groups. Strengthen your whole body in this circuit style workout class using your own body weight, free weights and upbeat music. All skill levels welcome!

TRX Core Circuit

This class format a circuit set-up for new students to TRX (Total Body Resistance Exercise). With the TRX suspension straps you will be using bodyweight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously. We will also be performing a combination of strength, cardio and core movements off the TRX suspension straps. Any and all fitness levels are welcome!

TRX Yoga Circuit

This class format a circuit set-up for new students to TRX (Total Body Resistance Exercise). With the TRX suspension straps you will be using bodyweight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously. We will also be performing a combination of yoga stretches and core movements off the TRX suspension straps. Any and all fitness levels are welcome!

Yoga for Wellness

The class is an educational Hatha Yoga format. Hatha Yoga focuses on posture and breathing techniques, traditionally to channel vital energy source. It is designed for anyone with reasonable level of fitness. Experience with Yoga is helpful. Getting up and down from the ground, standing on one leg and performing squats, lunges and kneeling should be easy tasks for participants. Please bring your own mat and cushion or towel for additional support. Yoga blocks and straps are provided.

Yoga Light

These Yoga classes will focus on breathwork, postures, relaxation, and meditation. This is an excellent class to learn the foundations of yoga in a safe and supportive environment. Chairs and mats will be available so you can use the sit or stand option for all poses. Additional mats, yoga blocks and straps are provided. Beginning levels are welcome.

Special Programs

Yoga in the Gardens
An outdoor invigorating yoga class held at beautiful Dow Gardens; suitable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness offered by MyMichigan Medical Center Midland Employee Wellness department. Getting up and down from the ground, standing on one leg and performing squats should be easy tasks for yoga students in this class.

Personal Training
We have Personal Trainers who can work with you. The personal trainers are not employed by MyMichigan Health. To hire your personal trainer after you are a fitness center member you would contact the trainer directly. Please contact the Fitness Center for the list of trainers, for their contact information, rates and available times.
