Chemotherapy & Infusion Services at MyMichigan Medical Center West Branch campus is staffed with registered nurses and pharmacists who specialize in outpatient intravenous care.
Services provided include:
- Antibiotics
- Chemotherapy
- Genetic Testing - Appointments with the Genetics Counselor will be done virtually via a telemedicine visit.
- Intravenous fluids for re-hydration
- Specialty medications
And targeted therapies to treat a variety of conditions including:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Crohn’s disease
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Immune disorders
Supportive care for blood disorders is also provided, including:
- Blood and platelet transfusions
- Intravenous iron replacement
In addition to infusions, the nurses are available to assist with PICC/central line dressing changes and implanted port care, as well as obtaining blood specimens for patients with blood disorders.
