Areas of Treatment
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic Therapy programs at MyMichigan provide opportunity to improve quality of life through exercise in warm water. Aquatic therapy allows people to experience forms of treatment that are not possible on dry land.
Athletic Training
Athletic trainers are licensed healthcare professionals skilled in assisting children, teenagers, and adults with challenges that impact strength and movement.
Our specially-trained staff collaborate with physicians to create training protocols designed to prevent situations that may impair movement or function. They are also able to diagnose and intervene in emergencies or treat acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities. Working with an athletic trainer allows our patients to see significant functional and physical changes. We offer:
- Acute care of injuries and illnesses
- Conditioning, rehabilitative exercise
- Nutritional aspects of injuries and illnesses
- Orthopedic clinical examination and diagnosis
- Pathology of injuries and illnesses
- Risk management and injury prevention
