Welcome to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSU-CHM) Midland Regional Campus

One of eight MSU-CHM campuses statewide, our campus opened its doors to its first cohort of students in 2011. Students at the Midland Campus can expect hands-on learning in both urban and rural settings. The broad, multi-county service area encompassed by MyMichigan Medical Centers provides students with exposure to a wide variety of medical specialties, access to diverse patient populations, and one-on-one mentoring with experienced faculty. Outside of their abundant clinical experiences, students can enjoy Midland’s walkable and family-friendly downtown, a multitude of outdoor activities, Broadway shows, minor league baseball and much more. Midland truly is the best of both worlds, with access to events and activities common to larger cities while maintaining a cohesive, smaller community feeling. The Midland Campus isn’t just a place of learning; it’s a vibrant hub where students forge connections, embrace innovation, and prepare to make a difference in healthcare.

The MSU-CHM campus office is in the Gerstacker Building on the campus of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.

The Gerstacker Building houses our Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education partners as well as a simulation center and technology enabled conference rooms. The building also offers student study space, a private student lounge and sleep rooms for visiting residents and students.
