Music Care Program

Music is powerful and has an emotional effect on people. The Music Care Program at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland is designed to help our visitors as well as patients and staff members feel the calming effects of music. It has been said that listening to music can heighten positive emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, increase relaxation, improves mood, reduces blood pressure, decreases pain and many more health care benefits.

"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." -- Billy Joel

Volunteer musicians (middle and high school performers, college musicians, and community musicians) will play in the Hospital Entrance lobby of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland and share calming and inspiring music. Performances will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If you are interested in performing, learn more about the program and sign up.
